Audiophiles abandoning CD’s? … say it ain’t so!

There has been a never ending debate about the best way to listen to music.  Vinyl? CD? Hi resolution CD? Neuro-flektiquantum laser fluxpod?  Most audiophiles use digital media such as CD’s these days, but a survey by Stereophile Magazine has come up with some interesting results.

The Beer Organ. Audio included!

This one ranks right up there with the weirder musical instruments.  The Beer Organ is a keyboard device that actuates compressed air which blows over the openings of beer bottles.

Ringo gets beheaded .. or maybe someone just forgot to water him.

There once was a band from Liverpool, England….
A railway startion in Liverpool decided one day to celebrate the Fab Four’s accomplishments by creating an artwork topiary recreation of the Beatles outside the station.  The artwork, which took 18 months to grow and shape, was unveiled a couple of months ago.

The Robots are taking over…

Well, I’d say this is the first step in their nefarious plan to take over the world and enslave all the humans.    Remember Honda’s ASIMO robot?  Well it looks like the robot has been invited to be a guest conductor for  the Detroit Symphony orchestra (which includes famous cellist Yo-Yo Ma.)

In March of 1967, Jimi Hendrix went up on stage at London’s Finsbury Astoria and gave an electrifying performace - it built up to a frenzied dramatic ending, when he doused his guitar in lighter fluid & burned it.
