Do you like all the album names of your favorite artists? I am not talking about the albums themselves, but their names. Some bands get really creative and some occasionally get creative. Often, bands just pick a name (which is usually the band’s name) and keep numbering the name, as they release more records. Boring, right?
Fun, Random Album Name Generators and Why You Might Want to Use Them

Some album names are devoid of creativity.

The White House recently announced the installation of solar panels as a signal to its commitment to alternative energy. Solar panels have been around for some time. In fact, the White House first installed solar panels back in 1979 by order of Jimmy Carter but were later removed by Ronald Reagan. It seems everywhere you look, everything and everyone is making a bid to alternative energy.

What can you be doing to help out?
How about simply going out clubbing. That’s right: Go out, listing to music and party.

Sobhany first thought of different ways to DJ while playing with her iPhone before the iPad was released. In an interview with Wired.com, Sobhany admits, “I just started playing with some of the music apps that were available for ...

Using a web-cam, computer, and printer, you can play sounds using image processing to recognize physical markers. You can visit the site below to get the application which includes a drum machine and a sampling sequencer, both are controlled by spatially arranging physical objects on an interactive table surface.
Here’s a low budget, DIY speaker project that stays true to the simple, uncomplicated design of the iPod. You can create these speakers for the iPod or your MP3 player using a recipe of 4 paper cups, 2 toothpicks, and your regular old earbuds. I haven’t actually tried these mod paper cup speakers but the idea looks simple enough and might even boost the sound a bit.

He took 4 years to build the piano, completely by scratch in his back yard. Enjoy.

I’ve seen a ton of band name generators on the net, but here’s something that is a LOT more fun. With a little bit of randomness, Wikipedia, Flickr and Quotationspage can name your band and come up with a name and cover art for your new album!
Here’s how it works:
1. Go to Wikipedia and hit “random” and the first article you get is the name of your band.
2. Go to “Random Quotations”. The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page will be the title of ...

That being said, When I see things like the following videos describing how to make a speaker on the cheap it really makes me smile.
As long as you have some regular household items and don’t mind cutting up a minijack cable, the total cost of this DIY speaker is actually 1 cent.

Vinyl is booming. There was one year about 10 years ago that I heard that one model of turntable (Technics 1200′s) outsold all models of electric guitars combined. The industry died down a bit after that, but recently vinyl has seen a resurgence and has been setting sales records (no pun intended).
I’ve released my own records in the past, and thought that I would share some of my experiences in the hopes that it may give you some ideas or insight into how it all works. Please ...

Diego Stocco is a composer, sound designer, composer for video games, and all-round creative guy. Not only are his compositions very interesting to listen to, but he’s got a knack for making his music out of the least likely of sources.
Diego was born in Italy and discovered music at the age of 6 when his parents, hoping to calm him down, gave him his first electronic keyboard (my own parents actually bought me a Korg Poly-800 synthesizer to calm me down too… the soothing sounds of analogue synthesis!)
