Posted by NA Admin in June 24th 2009

As the saying goes, imitation is the sincerest or greatest form of flattery. Here are some funny Music Video Parodies from songs like Plain White T’s “Hey There Delilah” to Staind’s “It’s Been a While.”

Music about Mathematics and Psychoanalysis

Posted by NA Admin in June 10th 2009

Rock band Tool may very well be the most complex and deep band in lyrical content with subject matter ranging from mathematics to psychoanalysis. It can be argued when you see a great painting whether the artist really meant to portray everything that the critic gives them credit for. Did Picasso really think about emphasis, [...]

Bruno lands on Eminem at MTV Awards

Posted by NA Admin in May 31st 2009

Sacha Baron Cohen, the actor of Borat, dressed in white angel wings and as the flamboyant character of his upcoming movie Bruno, was flying over the audience at the MTV Movie Awards. All of sudden, and clearly staged, he experienced mechanical problems as he fell and landed on rapper Eminem who appeared to be quite [...]

Julia Dales is a 17 year-old from Canada. Her beatbox video starts off with the words: My name is Julia Dales and I want to win the Beatbox Battle Wildcard. Beatboxing while playing an instrument

Posted by NA Admin in May 23rd 2009

I have met just a few virtuosos in my interactions with musicians, and I have met even fewer who have been able to take their playing in an entirely new and creative direction.
These two videos are simply incredible. They are of musicians who have managed to come up with methods of beatboxing while [...]

Plasma arc speakers - the most amazing speakers on earth

Posted by NA Admin in April 29th 2009

Plasma ion tweeters are an evolution the “singing arc”, invented by William Duddells 1900. He basically reworked a carbon arc lamp - which were known for being fairly noisy.
Now, William found that by varying the voltage to the arc, it changed the sound that was produced….  Bingo.
Much later a fellow by the name of [...]

Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody: Old School Computer Junk Remix

Posted by NA Admin in April 23rd 2009

I just love creativity in music. We ran a story on the Kasio Kristmas music and the Gadget Orchestra, but this one in particular is simply amazing.  It’s Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody ‘played’ entirely with old computer junk.
No effects or sampling were used in this song, basically the sound is coming from the devices that [...]

Posted by NA Admin in April 17th 2009

Brother Cesare Bonizzi is a Capuchin Monk who was born in 1946 in Italy. He has always used music as a way of spiritual meditation, but one day he saw Metallica in concert and he was changed forever.
He formed a band called “Fratello Metallo” (”Metal Brother”), a heavy metal band saying that “Metal [...]
