The Bellagio Hotel and Casino has as its landmark a water showcase. The Fountains of Bellagio features an open to the public display of choreographed water fountains with light and music. Truly a must see for the Vegas crowd. What if water just doesn’t do it for you? Bring music to life with …. Fire. A company by the name of Live Spark can help the pyro-audiophile create a fireplace, sculpture, or lounge centerpice that “makes fire move in response to every snare hit and every melody, creating real-time fire ...

Etymotic hf5 earphones review – I’ve had a really tough time finding good ipod or iphone earbuds. The ones that came with my iphone didn’t stay in my ears and sounded lousy. I bought some higher-end ones and felt like I needed to crank the volume up way to much to get good sound, very likely because of the ambient noise. It also seems as though there is a glut of earphones available in the $10-$80 that simply sound terrible.
Becasue I’ve heard so much about them ...

I have to admit that I’m a fan of good-sounding audio equipment. Through the right amplifier and speakers, I can almost see the music (pharmaceuticals not needed). That being said, When I see things like the following videos describing how to make a speaker on the cheap it really makes me smile.
As long as you have some regular household items and don’t mind cutting up a minijack cable, the total cost of this DIY speaker is actually 1 cent.
How to make a speaker (he claims “high definition speaker”) ...

Ok everyone, far from me to write about something that might start an argument, but here goes: The item below was found for sale on a New Zealand auction site.

I’ll let the description speak for itself (emphasis mine):
“AUDIODESK Systeme CD lathe is a very effective CD sound improver. It bevels and trues the edge of CD’s to reduce laser reflection and vibration.
If you won the lottery, how much would you spend on an entertainment room? Probably less than music producer Jeremy Kipnis. He has put a cool $6 million into his “home theater”.
What do you get for $6m? How about a Stewart Snowmatte laboratory-grade screen, a Sony ultra-high-resolution 4,096 x 2,160 digital projector, 30 amplifiers (!), 16 subwoofers, 10 tweeters and 8 tower speakers
The home theater, which he calls “Kipnis’ outer limits theater”, is an 8.8 channel channel audio system (although there are a lot more speaker than that) and delivers ...
