There are different ways to listen to music, actively or passively. If I listen to a Beethoven symphony section while driving in my car thinking about what I have to do for the day not really focusing on the music, that is passively listening. If i take the time to sit in a quiet room with good headphones thinking about nothing else but the music I am about to listen to, that is a form of active listening.
Try listening to everything you have in your music collection actively for once, rather than passively.
You will soon realize that some music needs no intelligence to write, and is merely a market tool.
On the contrary, you will also realize that some music contains tons of intelligence! Math, symmetry, space, maturity, patience, awareness, etc. . .
This kind of music (and not any genre in specific) does contain intelligence, and if you allow it, it will leach onto your brain, hence possibly allowing you to see things in ways you have never before: intelligence from music.
