Beatboxing while playing an instrument

I have met just a few virtuosos in my interactions with musicians, and I have met even fewer who have been able to take their playing in an entirely new and creative direction.
These two videos are simply incredible. They are of musicians who have managed to come up with methods of beatboxing while playing their instruments, and we’re not talking about playing the piano here.
The first video is an individual by the name of Yuri Lane. He beatboxes while playing the harmonica:

Amazing art made with old audio cassette tapes

I’ve got 2 large boxes completely full of old cassette tapes (remember those?) in my closet. There are probably over 400 tapes sitting there, degrading, losing their magnetic information, slowly dissolving into silence, or perhaps more correctly, white noise.
Will I ever listen to any of these again? Probably not. Heck, I don’t even own a tape player. Even if I did want to listen to any of them one day, I’m sure I’d be considerably dissapointed in the sound quality (if there was any music still …

Music from sand?

Diego Stocco is a composer, sound designer, composer for video games, and all-round creative guy. Not only are his compositions very interesting to listen to, but he’s got a knack for making his music out of the least likely of sources.
Diego was born in Italy and discovered music at the age of 6 when his parents, hoping to calm him down, gave him his first electronic keyboard (my own parents actually bought me a Korg Poly-800 synthesizer to calm me down too… the soothing sounds of analogue synthesis!)
