Well, we’re 2 weeks into the new year and NoiseAddicts is looking forward to all sorts of exciting things. There are a number of things that I’d like to share with all of you:
New Look !
As you’ve probably noticed, NoiseAddicts has adopted an entirely new look. We feel that the new look is cleaner, easier to navigate and easier to read with wider columns. It also allows for bigger images and bigger content boxes. It was a tough decision, because I was pretty happy with the minimalist look of the old one, but I think in the end this new look will make the blog easier to read. I welcome your comments and thoughts (and bug reports!) – contact us here.
NA takes the bronze in the Weblogs Award
Well, we didn’t win, but we were awarded 3rd prize for “Best Music Blog” in the 2008 Weblogs Awards. It was a pretty big contest, with close to a million votes being cast. NoiseAddicts is honored to not only have been nominated, to have been made a finalist, and to have been awarded the bronze, but also honored to be lumped in with some pretty big competition. Just being considered was inspiration to not only for us to keep at it, but to push harder for more content and more great stories.
What’s in store for 2009
We’ve got tons of plans for 2009! Throughout the year, you’re going to see lots more in our free samples section and a lot more posts and articles. We’re also planning on setting up a featured band section, so please let us know if you have someone you’d like to nominate. You’ll also start to see more great resources show up such as a searchable database of all upcoming releases by your favorite artists.
We always love to hear from you, so please send us your comments and ideas. We’re also planning on having more guest writers, so if you have a great idea for an article or story, please let us know!
