The Beer Organ. Audio included!

This one ranks right up there with the weirder musical instruments.  The Beer Organ is a keyboard device that actuates compressed air which blows over the openings of beer bottles.

This picture is of an organ Has brass fittings, lighting and is contained in a walnut enclosure on casters.

It has an air pump controller and self playing device (like a player piano) which allows the organ to also play musical tunes unaided, or via keyboard or MIDI controlled device.  Yes, it has Midi.

I know what you’re thinking, this is an instrument that someone recently threw together as a joke, a crazy DIY project.  Nope, these have been around since the 1800′s.

Finally – a use for all those beer bottles you saved while you were in college.

… oh wait, I promised audio. Here it is!
