This song was originally released in 2005 and it took 2 years before it reached the top charts in the U.S. You may certainly recognize the song if you have seen a movie in the last 2 years as it often part of the 20 min prelude to the movies. Nice mellow, folksy song.

My Humps – Black Eyed Peas

This parody is performed by Alanis Morissette and I have to say it showcases her brilliance. The lyrics are sung word for word — but slowed down so can you listen to the substance of the words which makes it 100% hilarious. It also showcases the vocal ability of Alanis. Again brilliant.

View the parody video here. This song is a classic. It parodies the song “Ridin’” by Chamillionaire who was pleasantly surprised by the song and Weird Al’s rapping ability. Not all artist have a sense of humor:  Coolio was peeved over the parody “Amish Paridise.” Read more here.

The original music video had a more serious tone. Blunt removes his shoes and clothes, a Japanese tradition prior to committing suicide, and then jumps off a cliff. Read more here.
